M1 AME / SHOP FLOOR MANAGER

You can provide clear communication and support to the technicians, management. Diverse skills to aircraft operations, online workflow management, skilled on amphibious, tailwheel, turbocharged, Continental, Lycoming, Pratt & Whitney, Cessna 150-208, Piper, Beechcraft, De Havilland 1-2, Pitts S2, Mooney M20 style aircraft.

We aren’t your average shop. We like airplanes, a lot. We are proud to work on many different types of airplanes. Each day brings something different - from low and slow, to aerobatics, to turbines. Every time we return an aircraft, it’s cleaner, safer, every time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading our employees by example

  • Upholding Macizzle Aero’s core principles even when things get busy

  • Managing timelines, delegating tasks, maintaining productivity levels

  • Keeping management up to date on challenges and successes, providing us with ways to improve.

  • Staying on top of administrative tasks as well as mechanical work.

  • Interacting with and supporting our customers

  • Take responsibility for quality of work and fixing mistakes where required

  • Use appropriate measures to protect customer aircraft against damage by the application of protective materials and ensure proper equipment is in place prior to the start of work

  • Carry out all work to applicable airworthiness standards

Required Certification, Education, Experience or Skills:

  • Valid Transport Canada M1 License

  • Minimum 3 years experience working on M1 aircraft

  • Leadership or management experience is an asset

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job

  • Valid driver's licence
     

Hours, Schedule, Atmosphere:

  • 40-44 hours/week

  • Available to start as soon as possible

  • Flexible schedule

  • Compensation based on prior experience and education/training.
