AME M1 APPRENTICE

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for quality of own work and fixing mistakes where required

  • Engaging in basic troubleshooting on assigned tasks

  • Maintaining communication with other mechanics and staff

  • Ability to ask for help to ensure the correct tools and procedure are used for each task

  • Use appropriate measures to protect customer aircraft against damage by the application of protective materials and equipment is in place prior to the start of work

  • Complete work orders, check sheets and other technical records with a high level of accuracy and consistency

  • Maintain a clean shop and hangar work environment

  • Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned


 

Required Certification, Education, Experience or Skills:

  • Must be an AME student, preferably a graduate from a Transport Canada approved technical school or course

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job

  • Valid driver's license

  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada. 

Hours, Schedule, Atmosphere:

  • 30-40 hours/week

  • Available to start as soon as possible

  • Flexible schedule - we want this to be a good fit for us and you.

  • $20-25/hr

Experienced M1 Aircraft Mechanic

You are highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and a fast learner. You have worked with a variety of M1 aircraft and have a high level of competency and problem solving skills. 

 

You can provide clear communication and support to the technicians, management, and our customers.

  • Ability to use the correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment required to perform aircraft maintenance

  • Use appropriate measures to protect customer aircraft against damage by the application of protective materials and ensure proper equipment is in place prior to the start of work

  • Complete work orders, check sheets and other technical records with a high level of accuracy and consistency

  • Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned

  • Carry out all work to applicable airworthiness standards
     

Required Certification, Education, Experience or Skills:

  • Valid Transport Canada M1 License

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working on M1 aircraft

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job

  • Valid G driver's license
     

Hours, Schedule, Atmosphere:

  • 40-44 hours/week

  • Available to start as soon as possible

  • Flexible schedule

  • Compensation based on prior experience and education/training.
